Alcan Composites USA Inc. introduced the first aluminum composite material (ACM) to the North American market in 1977, as AlucobondŽ Material, and it continues to be the performance standard in many architectural applications. We introduced SintraŽ Material to the Western Hemisphere market in 1980, and it quickly became popular for a wide range of display-related uses. This lightweight but rigid, moderately expanded plastic board remains the standard in its product type. Recent new product introductions such as KapaŽ and SintraŽtop continue to keep us at the leading edge of performance in both architectural and creative sheet materials.
